Lenovo rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Lenovo A6000, A6000 plus users in India

Lenovo has started updating its highest selling 4G smartphones Lenovo A6000 and A6000 Plus to Android Lollipop.

The new update brings all the new features of Lollipop along with some bug fixes, performance improvements and stability fixes over the KitKat release.

However, it appears that Lenovo A6000Plus is receiving the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with the update size consuming as much as 1092MB of net data.

Android OEMs have been generally very slow with updating their older phones to latest release. With over 1.3 million units of A6000 and A6000 Plus smartphone sold till date, Lenovo pushing the newest software release is the step in right direction.

According to IDC, Lenovo holds 29.4 percent share of the 4G smartphone market and has sold over a million 4G devices in the second quarter of 2015.

The Lenovo A6000 has an 8GB of Internal Storage and 1GB of RAM, while A6000Plus 16GB of Inbuilt storage space and 2GB of RAM.
