LG V10 doubles up on screens and Dual-lens selfie cameras officially launched

LG has interduced its latest flagship phablet called the V10 in its home market. The device comes with an innovative secondary screen above the main display. The phone also flaunts dual front-facing cameras for extra wide-angle selfies.

LG V10 features a big 5.7-inch (2560x1440 pixels) IPS LCD Quantum Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and an impressive pixel density of 513. It is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 clocked Quad-core 1.44 GHz Cortex-A53 & dual-core 1.82 GHz Cortex-A57 processor, along with Adreno 418 GPU and coupled with 4GB of RAM. The LG V10 comes with 64GB of on-board storage and supports microSD card expansion up to 200GB. It also comes with a removable 3,000mAh battery. LG says it will only take around 40 minutes to achieve a 50 percent charge, thanks to the device supporting Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 technology.The LG V10 runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

The smartphone sports a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization version 2.0. The V10 is actually the first smartphone ever to offer manual mode for video. The feature is called Manual Video Mode, and it will let you adjust shutter speed, frame rate, ISO, white balance, and focus, all while you’re recording your video. Videos can be recorded in three resolutions – HD, FHD or UHD – and two aspect ratios – 16:9 standard or 21:9 cinematic. Not only is Manual Video Mode a nice addition to the device, but LG is including some other nice features like Steady Record that uses electronic image stabilization to help eliminate shake, Snap Video Mode that will let you easily create one video from multiple shorter videos, and Audio Monitoring for adjusting your microphone sensitivity during video recording.

While there is 5-megapixel Dual Front-facing Cameras with two separate lenses that will let you capture standard 80-degree selfies, or wide angle selfies at 120 degrees.

The LG V10 also comes with a fingerprint sensor for extra security. In terms of connectivity, it offers 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, Slim Port, and A-GPS.

The Device comes in Space Black, Luxe White, Modern Beige, Ocean Blue and Opal Blue hues. There’s no word on its price at the moment, but we do know that it will go on sale in South Korea first, followed by a launch in the US, China, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East later this year.
